Monthly Summaries
A quick monthly look at how your business is doing
Good bookkeeping provides the foundation, Invi Insights helps you make sense of them.
Each month, I’ll send you a short, straightforward summary of what’s been happening in your business, without turning it into a twelve-page management report.
You’ll see your key figures for the month, a little context around them, and anything I think is worth drawing your attention to.
Your month at a glance
The useful bits, without the accounting overload
Your monthly summary will usually include:
- Income - what the business brought in during the month, with a little context around how that compares with recent months
- Expenses - what it cost to run the business and whether anything unusual stands out
- Profit - what was left after those costs, so you can see how the month performed overall
- Cash position - where useful, a look at what’s sitting in the bank and how that fits with the wider picture
- Anything worth noticing - changes, patterns, larger purchases or something I think deserves a closer look
Where it’s helpful, I’ll also point out movements from previous months so you can start to see the shape of your business over time rather than looking at each month in isolation.
The aim isn’t to bombard you with figures or hand you a report full of accounting language. It’s to give you a simple snapshot you can read in a couple of minutes and come away with a better feel for what’s been happening, what’s changed, and whether there’s anything you need to keep an eye on.
Because context matters
Numbers are much more useful when you know what sits behind them
A higher profit might be brilliant news, or it might simply be because a large supplier bill hasn’t arrived yet.
A quieter month might be completely normal for your business.
And a healthy-looking bank balance doesn’t necessarily mean all of that money is available to spend.
Because I’m keeping your bookkeeping up to date throughout the month, I can add some of that context rather than simply sending you a set of reports and leaving you to decipher them.
From £30 per month
Add Invi Insights to your ongoing bookkeeping package from £30 per month, with the exact price depending on the size and complexity of your business.
Based on current figures
Because your bookkeeping is kept up to date throughout the month, your summary is based on properly reconciled records rather than a rough snapshot.
Written for you
It isn’t an automated report dropped out of Xero. I review the month and add the context, changes or oddities I think are genuinely worth mentioning.
Part of ongoing bookkeeping
No extra spreadsheet homework required
Invi Insights is designed to sit alongside your regular bookkeeping.
There’s nothing extra for you to prepare each month. I keep the records current, review the figures and send your summary once the month is complete.
And if something in it sparks a question, you can ask.
